Sheikh Shahawal’ali Sheikh Kamaruddin

Sheikh Shahawal received his tertiary education at The Institute of Maritime Law, University of Southampton and awarded with Honours Degree in Law in 1995.

Sheikh started his career in 1996 in the yachting industry and rose up the ranks as a first mate in 1998, and a captain in 1999. He has been working in some of the renowned yachts namely, Xanadu, Destiny and Columbia Star. Later in 2001, he moved to the corporate sectors specializing in venture capital, investment in property development, advertising and media.

During this period he has been a consultant to the Prime Minister Office, Government of Sarawak, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance and several corporate companies namely, SME Bank, Scomi Berhad, Petronas Malaysia, Sapura Holdings Berhad and government linked companies.

The defining moment in Sheikh Shahawal’s career came in 2008, when he went on to organize the 18th International Association of Educators for World Peace (IAEWP) an NGO under United Nation aid and 1st World International Martial Art Festival for the World Head Family of Sokeship Council (WHFSC), USA.

After ten years in the corporate sector, in 2012, Sheikh Shahawal has ventured in international trade with more than 7 years of investment management experience with award-winning results.

He has a well-developed relationship management expertise that complements account acquisition skills. He leads team in investment product sales; oversee relationship-banking team with a tireless focus on increasing revenue and maximizing profitability. Apart from that, he has a broad knowledge of numerous financial instruments and complex investment scenarios.
